Outdoors Club Thanksgiving Hike

On Monday, November 30th, Loyola’s Outdoors Club sponsored a Thanksgiving day hike on a section of the Appalachian Trail in Greenwood Lake, New York. Ten students braved the cold temperatures and six mile round-trip trail, more than proving their intrepidness and love for the great outdoors. Historic and known throughout the world, the Appalachian Trail begins at Springer Mountain in northern Georgia and ends at Mount Katahdin in central Maine, passing through thirteen states and comprising over 2000 miles. Congratulations and thanks to those who participated and helped to make the hike a success! Click over to our Loyola galleries to check out photos from the hike!
