Jakelich ‘18 Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by his mother, Jeanine Sieja, and his family when he was taken from them and the Loyola Community in a tragic soccer accident on October 26, 2015. In the spirit of their deep appreciation of Loyola’s personal contribution to Thomas and in an effort to keep his connection to the school alive, it is their desire is to have this scholarship grow to be an endowed fund. Ultimately, it will be awarded annually to a student who embodies the spirit and potential of Thomas the opportunity to feel as special as he did from day one at Loyola.
