At Loyola School we are adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols to keep our community safe and healthy.
All students are invited to return for in-person instruction beginning on Monday, April 26, 2021. Our classrooms are able to accommodate our student census for classes with the three-foot distancing requirement. (As per CDC and NYS DOH guidelines, teachers will continue to maintain a distance of six feet from students.) We will continue to allow students to attend classes remotely (or in hybrid/alternating week form) if their parents are not yet comfortable with their (full) return to the building.
For those entering the building, including students, faculty, staff, and where applicable, contractors, vendors, and visitors, we have implemented a mandatory health screening done in-person and via an online application. Results from the health checks informs a person’s access to our building.
Masks & Social Distancing
Masks must be worn at all times in the classrooms by students and faculty. Masks must always be worn when entering public areas. Additionally, Loyola School adheres to social distancing standards of six feet of distance between individuals at any given point.
Bi-Weekly Pooled Testing
Twice monthly, our school does a random pooled COVID-19 testing of 48 individuals (faculty, staff, and students). This will allow for no less than 30% coverage of all who are anticipated to be in school during the testing period.
Our facilities staff is primarily responsible for cleaning and disinfection. A comprehensive COVID-19-specific cleaning plan has been developed for the school, per state guidelines.
