Principal Search

On September 25, 2023, Mr. James Lyness informed the Loyola School community that the 2023-2024 academic year would be his final year as Principal of Loyola School.

With that, Loyola School is searching for an experienced leader with the skills necessary to help guide a high functioning, mission-driven school to the next level of excellence. The successful candidate will help open our new building addition and should be a strategic leader who is committed to the school’s Jesuit and independent school traditions. Our next principal will model lifelong learning and embody the school’s Jesuit ideals and values. Ideally, a final selection will be made during the winter months of the 2023-2024 school year and will begin their tenure as Loyola School principal on July 1, 2024.  Please click on the links below for more information regarding this opportunity.

Mr. Lyness has been an incredible blessing to Loyola School from the moment he entered our building in 1977, serving as a teacher, moderator, and administrator at Loyola School. We are thrilled that Mr. Lyness will assist in the process of finding his successor and excited that he will continue in the math department at the school, working with our next principal for years to come.
