How can I apply to Loyola School?

What are important dates to keep in mind?

Open House Dates
      • October 3rd, 2019 at 5:30 pm 
      • October 23rd, 2019 at 5:30 pm 

Early Decision
     • November 8th, 2019 – Completed application due
     • December 20th, 2019 – Early Decision letters mailed 

Regular Decision
     • November 8th, 2019 – Initial application completed
     • December 20th, 2019 – Completed application due
     • February 5th, 2020 - Regular Decision letters mailed 

Are spring visits available?
Yes, we encourage you to sign up for a spring tour using this form.

We will also be hosting our 7th Grade Breakfast in May. Families may RSVP using Ravenna.

Is there an entrance exam required for admission?
Yes. Students can take either the ISEE, SSAT, or HSPT exam. Only one exam is required for admission.
Please note that Loyola does not accept the TACHS exam.


Is an interview required for admission?
While an interview is not required for admission, it is recommended. Once the initial application is received, the Office of Admissions will contact applicants to schedule an interview on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that applicants will not be penalized if an interview can not be scheduled.  


Can I spend a day at Loyola?
Yes, applicants may spend a Shadow Day at Loyola.These visits are scheduled in February and March.

Does applying for financial aid influence the admission decision?
No, Loyola’s admissions decision is independent of the financial aid decision.


Who may apply for financial aid?
Any applicant may apply for financial aid. Financial aid is primary awarded to incoming 9th grade students, and on a limited basis for returning students who did not initially receive financial aid and transfer students.
