Building the Future

Loyola launched a five-year fundraising campaign in 2022 inspired by what would be best for our students, which is modernization and expansion of our 1900 building. Your donations support that aim, strengthen our endowment, and provide continuing resources for our people and campus through annual appeals. Your generosity will build the future for students and for Loyola School

Building the Future by funding Loyola School’s Ignatian Mission

As a Catholic, independent, co-educational, college preparatory, urban, secondary day school rooted in the Jesuit tradition, Loyola School challenges its young men and women to become intellectually fulfilled, open to growth, religious, loving, and committed to justice.

In keeping with the Ignatian spirit of cura personalis (care for the whole person), Loyola School strives to develop the diverse and unique talents of each member of the Loyola community, and encourages the use of these talents to serve others for the greater glory of God.

Building the Future by expanding our campus

The interdisciplinary nature of 21st century teaching and learning requires spaces that allow for various instructional and learning methods to meet the needs of all the students in the classroom. Our building expansion fosters a student-driven learning curriculum with inter-dependent and independent learning environments.

We are maintaining the intimacy that is a hallmark of a Loyola School education, while increasing the campus square footage by 25%.

Building the Future by strengthening our fiscal health

An investment in Loyola’s endowment fuels a future full of promise. Endowment ensures a secure, perpetual income for the school’s strategic priorities and ongoing initiatives.

You can establish a named endowment fund. You may also designate your gift to existing endowments that support a range of areas: Speech and Arts Programs; Chapel maintenance; Library and Tech; Faculty continuing education and spiritual retreats; Science Department; Ignatian practices; Student Emergency Fund; Financial Assistance; and Academic Scholarships.

Loyola School distinguishes itself with a faculty and administrative community that cares about our Ignatian traditions and culture of cura personalis (care for the whole person). Many hold advanced academic degrees and terminal degrees in their fields of expertise. Loyola allocates 75% of its operating budget to our people -  salaries, benefits, and professional development - to both retain and recruit dedicated individuals.

Building the Future by seizing our annual opportunities

One of the primary ways that Loyola fulfills its mission is with the flexible resources made available through annual giving appeals. Annual giving revenue represents crucial operational funds that have an impact on the experience of every student and faculty member.

We invite each donor to the Building the Future campaign to sustain their annual giving by including a pledge to the Annual Fund with the pledge to the Campaign.
